SOS Steel Co. Inc. provides comprehensive steel packages that include the basic structural items as well as full miscellaneous packages including stairs and rails. The company specializes in projects that include structural framing up to four stories.

SOS Steel Co. Inc. was founded in 1946 and was located on Montgomery Street in San Jose. The company was moved to the present location in Santa Clara in 1955 and has been a mainstay in the steel construction industry in the Silicon Valley since it’s inception. Original owners John Somers, Henry O’Rear and Paul Stephan remained active in the company until 1990 when the company was purchased by its employees.

SOS has a full staff that includes estimating, project management and detailing services. We utilize the latest detailing software for the most speed and accuracy possible. The company uses automated fabrication equipment that includes a beam line, plate fabrication machine, cambering and coping machine and an Arcmatic automatic ElectroSlag welding system.
